A&E Networks upgrades to CEITON 10.0

A&E Networks, one of the largest US cable networks, will from November be using the new CEITON Version 10.0. Since its launch in the 1980s, A&E has developed into a global multimedia content provider across numerous formats, channels and programs, including documentaries, history, and drama, and is a CEITON customer since 2010.

The CEITON system at A&E was originally implemented in order to manage a delivery workflow, with which disks and tapes were delivered to international locations. Since then, digital processing and delivery have become industry standard. CEITON uses interfaces to A&E’s own systems, and imports relevant metadata about the content, for worldwide distribution. External suppliers of post-production services can log in to the system and see in their relevant workflow forms exactly the information they need to process the content.

Over the years, CEITON has been able to keep pace with media digitization through incremental improvements to the A&E-Workflow and the continuous enhancement of the software, and even to drive it forward with other customers. CEITON ensures that processes continue to run optimally at A&E. In order to benefit from all the advantages of CEITON and to benefit from the latest development, the company is now opting for a major update to the new Version 10.0. The system runs in a 100% cloud based environment.
